This scripture was addressed to believers, not unbelievers; this we must take note. And this was because of the many ill-fortunes happening in the church. From the above scripture, it is very important to note that it’s wrong to believe that once saved, forever saved. It is wrong to also think that because of GRACE, nobody will go to hell. We acknowledge the fact that the grace of God saves those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior and are willing to live godly lives worthy of emulation. In other words, when you’re saved by God and continue to live in sin, that same grace that saved you could take your life. Understand this, the grace of God does not condone sin, it’s as simple as that.

Our generation would be the worst one should the Bible be written in our times. There are many untoward things that some of us do that can’t be compared to the days of the Sodom and Gomorrah. If you care to know, there are some people in our generation who marry trees and even ‘sleep’ with animals. The least said concerning these people the better. But it is rather unfortunate that the church which is supposed to be the institution to help these people change from such ways, have had some of its leaders filter the gospel to rather suit these behaviors. You cannot serve God and mammon (Luke 16:13). You cannot claim to love God and continue to live in your sins. Carnality is an enemy of eternal life. The fact that you’ve given your life to Christ does not mean you can live your life anyhow.

Is it funny how sometimes we give reverence to our fellow human beings, thus, we do not want them to hear or see us do certain things? Because should they do, they would be disappointed in us. But is it not rather shameful how we do not give reference to the one who sees everything? Beloved, God loves you even though you are a sinner, but not your sins (see 2 Corinthians 5:19). And that’s why He wants to save you from continuing to live in your sins. God cares so much about your salvation, and because of that He has set before you His servants who can teach you His word (see Jeremiah 3:15). You need to understand that when you continue to live in your sins, you invite the enemy to manipulate your life so easily and that could cause your life because you are under no protection. Say No to your sins and wholeheartedly serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Say this prayer with me if you want to give your life to Jesus Christ or want to repair that broken relationship you have with Him.

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am willing to turn from my sin.You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. AMEN.
